We have some exciting changes coming to our internet speed packages! We know and appreciate how long you have been a Kanokla customer, and we want you to experience our new faster speeds with a special promotional upgrade.

Starting in January, we are sunsetting our legacy internet plans. These plans are our oldest and extremely low-speed plans, which are: 256K for $19.99, 512K for $29.99, 2M for $40, 5M for $50. Your internet speed and price will increase from your current plan to our current internet plan 50mb/10mb plan for $60/month. In order to make this transition easy for you, you will remain at your current rate until April 1st, 2024. After this 3 month promotion, you will see your monthly bill increase to $60.

Please note 256K and 512K plans were first introduced in the early 2000’s and are the lowest speed plans we still have customers utilizing. The K stands for kilobits and that unit of measurement for the internet is much smaller than the 2M and 5M (the M stands for megabits) plans. 1 megabit is equal to 1,000 Kilobits per second. 

In order to provide the best experience for our customers, we are streamlining the number of plans we offer while increasing internet speeds.  In the past 5 years, there has been a massive worldwide growth in the number of internet-connected devices in homes – i.e., cameras, smart TVs, Amazon and Google Home products, phones, tablets, computers, appliances, gaming systems – the list goes on and on! All of these fun products with the new technology that we love require more and more of your home wifi bandwidth. In that same 5-year timespan, our customer service records show that slow internet speed/lack of bandwidth is the number one issue customers report.

Now, even having 1 internet-connected device could hog all of your current internet plan. With each device you may have in your home, you may be experiencing this in multiple ways: mobile devices running slow, mobile apps closing, poor audio or video quality during video calls, buffering while streaming, failure to connect more devices, webpages not loading, and device alerts about your internet connection.
